Equality and Diversity

Havebury has been preparing an equality action plan which outlines how we are improving or will improve access to our services and employment.

Our Equality and Diversity Forum, which consists of tenants, employees and representatives from external partners, has assisted with producing the plan.  Some of the actions have also come as a result of Equality Impact Assessments on our policies and procedures.

The equality action plan is a working document. Therefore, it is likely to change over time as we reflect the latest views as to how we can further improve access to our services.

The Pocket Guide to Faiths, Beliefs and Cultures

This is a handbook designed to enrich our knowledge of some of the traditions, religions and beliefs that exist within our community.

Customer Needs Data Action Plan

This highlights how we will utilise all of the data which tenants have provided to us.  Actions are in place to ensure we are making the most of this information so it can be used to constantly tailor and improve our services.

Havebury Diversity Calendar

We hope this calendar will raise awareness of equality and diversity and promote our understanding of a range of events taking place throughout the year.

Equality Impact Assessments (EQIAs)

EQIAs offer an opportunity for Havebury to think carefully about the impact of our work on tenants, local people, stakeholders and members of staff. If necessary, we can then take action that will promote equality for all and improve the services we offer.

By carrying out EQIAs, Havebury may also ensure that the services we provide fulfil the requirements of anti-discrimination and equalities legislation.  A full list of completed EQIAs is available and our action plan for completing all EQIAs.
