What are you entitled to?
Havebury Housing Partnership are launching their benefit advice service for tenant’s who would like assistance with claiming a wide range of benefits, ensuring that tenant's are receiving what they are entitled to and providing guidance for those who are experiencing debt problems.

They have assisted numerous tenants with new claims, backdating requests and appeals for housing and council tax benefit. They have also helped tenants to claim other benefits such as Pension Credit, Disability Living Allowance, Attendance Allowance and Tax Credits.

Havebury believe that it is important for them to provide such support to its tenant’s to alleviate poverty by maximising their income through the benefits system.

Havebury's Benefits Advice Service Offers:
•Assistance with completing housing and council tax benefit forms.
•Assistance with dealing with other housing and council tax benefit issues such as claiming backdating, appealing against decisions made and applying for overlap of benefits.
•Assistance with completion of forms for a wider range of benefit’s or pointing tenant’s in the right direction if we are unable to help. Assistance with benefits can include Pension Credit, Disability Living Allowance, Attendance Allowance, Tax Credits and Incapacity Benefit.
•If you are having difficulty paying your utility bills then assistance can be provided with completion of application for the Anglian Water Trust Fund, applications for grants for help with gas and electricity arrears.
•Making referrals to other organisation’s that may be able to assist tenant’s with debt problems that can not be dealt with by the Benefit Advisors.
•Liaising with St Edmundsbury Borough Council regarding Housing and council tax benefit claims.
