Our Commitment
Havebury Housing has a commitment not only to maintain and improve the housing stock, but also to regenerate its estates and support the development of the communities it serves.

Background
Havebury’s Community Investment Fund has a pot of over £50,000 (index linked) available for local projects within the Borough of St Edmundsbury which provide a community benefit. 24 new community-based projects were received in 2009/10 totalling £56,247.

What we do
The Community Investment Fund supports a wide range of local projects for all ages including;
• employment - preparing people for the job market
• sport & healthy living - football, sailing, carpet bowls, gymnastics
• education - pre-school activities and equipment
• one-off social events
• children's play areas

In the last year alone, the Community Investment Fund has enabled over 6,500 local people to benefit from these community projects and have attracted £327, 018 in match funding.

One-off social events
Havebury will consider funding one-off social events provided they demonstrate clear community benefits/outputs. A sum of £2,000 is ring-fenced each year for this purpose with applications of up to £200 accepted on a first come first served basis.
