I am experiencing problems with managing my finances and now have debts that I am not able to repay. What help can I get?

If you contact Havebury Benefit’s service they will be able to make an appointment with the CAB or a free debt advice services agency that may be able to assist you in looking at your finances and make arrangements with your debtors to pay reasonable repayments to them that you can afford.

My son has just turned 18 and has started full time work. Will this affect my housing and council tax benefit?

Your housing benefit will be reduced by a non dependent deduction if your son starts paid employment. The amount deducted will depend on the amount that your son is earning. Your son will need to provide his pay slips to the Borough Council so that they can calculate the amount to take from your rent.
