Welfare reform - Why it’s important you help us help you
Havebury has been working hard to prepare those of you who are affected by welfare reform.
In previous years we have explained in letters to tenants and in editions of Havebury News that the government is making major changes to the current benefits system.
These may affect you, so it’s extremely important for us to keep up to date information about your household.
We need to frequently check who is living with you so we can inform you of the changes that may directly affect you or a member of your household. Following the success of last year, we will again be calling you.
Between 10th August – 4th September, Havebury will be compiling a census of every member of your household who is aged 16 - 65.
We will be calling you sometime between those dates between the hours of 9am - 5pm to confirm who is living with you. We will then ask each member of your household aged 16 - 65 a series of questions , such as “Do you have access to the internet?”
Why is Havebury asking me these questions?
To improve Havebury’s service to you and the members of your household, we would like to send you information that is only applicable to you and your household.
This is so you are able to make informed decisions about the current changes in legislation and any other issues we feel could be important to you.
Our way of saying “thank you”
To thank you for taking the time to answer the questions, each household will be entered into a prize draw. This year we have 5 £50 shopping voucher prizes up for grabs!
If you are under 18 or over 65...
Don’t worry, there will be an opportunity for you to enter other prize draws very soon and we will continue to send you information that is applicable to you. Competition rules are available on request or at havebury.com
