Brown bin changes to Bury St Edmunds and Haverhill
Since 9 March 2015, the brown bin collection has changed across 17,000 homes in Bury St Edmunds and 8,000 in Haverhill. The change in system now means that brown bins will be collected on the same day as black bins.
The change in system will not disrupt the level of service that the St Edmundsbury Borough Council provides, although the redesign of the brown bin collection rounds will make the collection more efficient, saving council tax payers approximately £135,000 a year.
