Havebury shortlisted for ‘Greenest Business’ Award
Havebury Housing Partnership has been recognised for its’ continuous improvement in creating greener neighbourhoods, after being identified as one of the two finalists in the ‘Greenest Business of the Year’ Award, in this years’ Creating the Greenest County Awards.
The awards ceremony has attracted over 100 entries, highlighting excellent environmental achievements across the county.
Havebury is shortlisted award along with Ichiban UK. Both organisations will be judged on significant improvements that they have made to their own operations, as well as contributing to the wider green economy.
The not-for-profit organisation has also made considerable green improvements in the office too. The introduction of centralised printing has resulted in an immediate 40% reduction in paper usage.
The announcement of Havebury’s shortlisting follows the organisation holding their very own Green Week – an initiative aimed at increasing green awareness which has included activities such as a ‘No Printing Day’, sustainable travel rewards and an Earth Hour.
The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 31st March 2016.
