Neighbourhood Investment

Havebury has a commitment not only to maintain and improve our housing stock, but also to regenerate our estates and support the development of the communities we serve.

Our Neighbourhood Investment Panel will fund improvements to benefit not only tenants, but the wider community as a whole.

The panel has been formed through the joining of the Community Investment Fund and the Havebury Improving Places Group, which between them have spent nearly £165,000 in the last financial year.

The money has been used for projects including communal garden improvements, play area developments and village hall refurbishment. The grants given include £2,000 for a play area at Mouse Lane, Rougham (above).

Grant applications are welcome from individuals or groups looking to make either physical or social improvements.

Made up of tenants and independent representatives from the police and the borough council amongst other bodies, the panel will review applications for funding six times a year.

There are currently two vacancies on the panel, so if you are a Havebury tenant and are interested in deciding how the money will be spent then contact Charlotte Carter on 01284 722035.

For those seeking funding, there is a dedicated team who can offer guidance and support throughout the application process, so please give us a call to talk through your project!

Alternatively, you may request further information or an application pack from the Stronger Communities Team on 01284 722035 or email.
