Tenants' Forum

The Tenants' Forum is made up of a group of volunteers who give up their free time to work with Havebury to improve the services and information tenants receive.  Many of them sit on other groups, five members of the Tenants' Forum sit on the Board of Directors.

Sandra Norris, Haverhill (Chair)

Sandra joined the Tenants' Forum in September 2005.  Following her retirement, she felt she had the time and desire to contribute on the Forum.  She is fully committed to ensuring the Forum works alongside Havebury to give the best possible service to tenants.  As well as being a Tenant Board Director, Sandy also sits on the Neighbourhood Investment Panel.

Kevin Jefferson, Rougham (Vice Chair)

Kevin joined the Tenants' Forum in 2009 and was elected as Vice Chair of the Forum in 2010.  Kevin is also Chair of the Equality & Diversity Group and sits on the Neighbourhood Investment Panel.  Kevin is committed to ensuring that Havebury listens to tenants views and is an active supporter of Havebury's move into social media.

Alan Turner, Bury St Edmunds

Alan has lived in the local area since 1979 in both Bury St Edmunds and Haverhill.  Alan has been a member of the Forum since 2001.  Alan joined the Forum to ensure tenants had a voice in the running of Havebury.

Ann McGowan, Bury St Edmunds

Over the years, Ann’s work has furnished her with a great deal of knowledge and experience in housing and homelessness issues.  Ann believes the Forum can help Havebury to fulfill its vision of being the best landlord to its tenants by representing their views fully.  Ann is a Tenant Board Director.

Audrey Collyer, Haverhill

Audrey joined the Forum in 2009 and sits on the Readers Panel.

Brian Yallop, Bury St Edmunds

Brian lives in Bury St Edmunds and has been on the Tenants’ Forum since 2004 and joined so that he could be a voice for the tenants to help improve the services they receive.

Don Seago, Haverhill

Don has been a tenant in St Edmundsbury since 1974 and currently lives in Haverhill. Don takes a keen interest in local issues and supports senior citizens.

Garry Guest, Bury St Edmunds

Garry joined the Tenants’ Forum in June 2003 to assist Havebury’s tenants and the community to make a positive difference for all.

Jane Long, Bury St Edmunds

Jane joined the Tenants' Forum in 2009 and has been involved in many projects representing tenants including Havebury in Bloom.

Joan Wright, Bury St Edmunds

Joan is a founding member of the Forum.  Her motivation for joining in 1992 (when St Edmundsbury Borough Council owned the housing stock) was prompted by a desire to ensure tenants were getting the best possible service and that management decisions were to the benefit of her fellow tenants. Joan sits on the Readers Panel and Havebury News Editorial Group.

Lucy Adams, Bury St Edmunds

Lucy is a Tenant Board Director and joined the Tenants' Forum in July 2010.

Malcolm Searle, Bury St Edmunds

Malcolm became involved with the Forum in 2002 just prior to the transfer of ownership of the housing to Havebury.  He feels the Forum enables tenants to actively influence the decisions Havebury makes.  As well as being a Tenant Board Director, Malcolm also sits on the Neighbourhood Investment Panel and Equality & Diversity Group.

Mary Davis, Chedburgh

Mary joined the Tenants' Forum in October 2010 and is a Tenant Board Director.

Mary Lawrence, Bury St Edmunds

Mary has been a Forum member since 2001. Mary enjoys being part of a team and learning about Havebury whilst ensuring greater benefits for tenants.

Muriel Healey, Haverhill

Muriel joined the Forum in 1993 and is a founder member.  As a veteran of the Forum, Muriel brings extensive knowledge and experience of tenant involvement to the group and enjoys the challenge of learning new ways to help her fellow tenants.  Muriel was our first Life President and also sits on the Readers Panel, Havebury News Editorial Group, the Neighbourhood Investment Panel and is Vice Chair of the Equality & Diversity Group.

Patricia Partington, Haverhill

Pat joined the Tenants' Forum in 2008.  Pat sits on the Readers Panel.

Phillip French, Haverhill

Philip joined the Tenants' Forum in late 2003.  Philip is a member of the Performance & Scrutiny Panel and Readers Panel.

Ray Coe, Haverhill

Ray joined in 2008 and sits on the Readers Panel and Havebury News Editorial Panel.  Ray joined the Forum to help tenants raise their concerns.
