Useful information for tenants about your rent
Havebury Housing Partnership as an affordable housing provider in Suffolk is committed to working with you to pay your rent and ensure you are receiving the right benefits.
It is a condition of your tenancy that your rent is paid regularly and on time
Make it a year to remember
Havebury is aware that people often find it difficult to meet all of their obligations during the holidays, including their rent.
If you pay by Direct Debit, it's possible for Havebury to calculate your payments so that you can make additional payments in order to accrue sufficient credit to cover the period in which you wish to request a payment holiday.
If you pay by Direct Debit and wish to overpay in order to make a payment holiday, contact Havebury on 0300 3300 900, selecting option 3 so that your Direct Debit can be increased. (Note: Your account must be in credit of the required payment holiday total before the payment holiday is taken.) By making an additional sum each week onto your rent account starting from January, you can start to accrue additional credit to cover periods when your expenditure may become pressured.
When is Havebury Rent Due?
Rent is due each Monday, but we are happy for you to pay fortnightly, four weekly or calendar monthly. However you choose to pay, payments must be made in advance.
If you are struggling to pay your rent, please contact us on 0300 3300 900 and speak to our Income team or read through the sections to find out how we can help you.
We may be able to assist you to claim Housing Benefit or Universal Credit if appropriate or give advice on how you can improve your budgeting skills and signpost you to debt counselling.
