How much should I pay?
You will notice that when we made you the offer of your tenancy, we informed you of the rental amount. If you are unsure of how much you should pay, please speak to the Income Team. You can contact us on 0300 33 00 900.
You can also find the amount of your weekly rent and any service charges in the appropriate section of your Tenancy Agreement. Prior to you accepting your tenancy, the Income Team will contact you to discuss ways to to pay your rent and also give you advice, where relevant, on claiming benefit. You will be required to pay your rent in advance before collecting the keys for your new home. Rent is always payable in advance.
If you experience any difficulties with your rent payments, please contact us at the earliest opportunity so that we can offer you advice on benefits and discuss arrangements to pay.
Payment in Advance
It is vitally important that Havebury collects its rent as this is its main source of income. An important principle when paying such charges is that Havebury expects payment in advance. Where the charge in an annual one, we are happy to accept monthly payments and we are also happy to accept monthly payments for weekly charges. Either way, once these payment schedules have been arranged, we expect payment at the beginning of the period agreed.
We realise that it is sometimes difficult for you to pay rent and would encourage you to contact us if you are having problems so that we can assist you from becoming further into debt.
