The affordable housing provider was honoured with the Best Partnership Working award for its Tenants Respect Understanding Support Training (TRUST) programme, which is offered to residents alongside Suffolk Family Focus.
The award was one of just five presented to housing associations across East Anglia at the ceremony at Dunston Hall in Norwich, which was hosted by Saffron Housing Trust. The event celebrates organisations which help to bring communities together.
Havebury Chief Executive Karen Mayhew explained that the TRUST programme supports struggling families, providing funds to offer them diversionary activities. “The main aim is to ensure that children remain in education and their life chances are improved,” she said.
Mrs Mayhew added:
“It’s wonderful to see the continuous support and commitment we provide to our tenants recognised through this award.
Through the TRUST programme, we have been able to successfully support young people who have been through difficult issues, providing them with an effective support network, to help them fulfil their potential.”
