Erskine Lodge, formerly a Havebury sheltered housing scheme is set to become the housing association’s latest development as part of the Affordable Homes Programme 2015-2018 from the Homes and Communities Agency.
Karen Mayhew, Chief Executive of Havebury Housing Partnership said:
“We are delighted that Havebury has been granted planning permission for the Erskine Lodge site. This represents the culmination of two years working with the local council and consulting with the community in order for there to be an adopted master plan for the site and now planning permission.
There is a shortage of affordable homes within the local area, and we are pleased to now be in a position to build excellent quality homes for Great Whelnetham.”
Havebury works closely with local authorities, agencies and other housing associations to meet local housing needs within the area, building around 100 new homes each year. Havebury currently manages over 6,000 homes and flats in towns and villages in Suffolk and other areas.
