Important rental payment information

From now until April 5 2020, all Havebury tenants will be charged 53 weeks’ rent instead of the usual 52.

Havebury want to keep you updated with important rental payment information.

Please be aware, if you receive Universal Credit, your benefits are worked out on the basis of a 52-week year. This means that you will need to pay one week’s rent yourself before next April.

We recommend that you make small payments between now and then to cover this extra week’s rent. This is so that you are not left short at the end of the financial year. Your payment options can be found here.

Please note:

  • If your housing costs are currently paid directly to us, you will also be required to pay the extra week’s rent
  • Pay by Direct Debit? You do not need to worry about the extra week as your payments will have already been calculated to include this

If you are unable to make these payments, or you would like further advice about rental payment please contact the Income Team for further advice on 0300 33 00 900, dialling Option 2, Option 2, Option 2. Alternatively, email myaccount@havebury.com.
