A team of ladies from Havebury Housing are taking part in the Women on Wheels event. This is to raise money for St Nicholas Hospice. The event will take place in Bury St Edmunds on Sunday 7th July.
The team is made up of (left to right) Sarah Morris, Angela Treagust, Ella Barnett, Terri Hammond, Racheal Grimmer, Hayley Lambert and Marie McCleary. They plan on cycling a total of 260 miles collectively.
Havebury Housing are also sponsoring the event which begins at Nowton Park, Bury St Edmunds. Marie McCleary, Director of Resources and Company Secretary says “We are proud to sponsor the Women on Wheels event for St Nicholas Hospice. It is a great opportunity for women of all ages to come together. Not just to raise money for a fantastic charity but to have fun in the process. We are all looking forward to the day and we will see you all at the finish line!
The event is aimed at non-cyclists and existing cyclists alike and is open to anyone between the ages of 12 to 80+. Riders can choose to take part in either a 10, 25, 50 or 70 mile route so there is something for everyone!
