International Women’s day is this Sunday 8th of March. The theme for this year is #EachforEqual – “We are all parts of a whole. Our individual actions, conversations, behaviours and mindsets can have an impact on our larger society.Collectively, we can make change happen. Collectively, we can each help to create a gender equal world.”
As a result of it being International Women’s Day, Havebury want to celebrate the females who work here.
Did you know 56.6% of our workforce is female and 2 out of 4 of our Executive team are also female.
There is such a diverse mix of women who work for Havebury. It’s great for them to share and acknowledge what makes them different and what unite’s them. Unfortunately, it’s not all positive for women across the globe. Women who flee disaster areas are often left homeless and vulnerable. Violence against women increases by 70% in conflict settings (according to ActionAid). These women make impossible decisions just to survive. They face the unimaginable to protect their families.
