We don’t want 2020 to end in tiers which is why we are bringing you 5 Christmas activities you can do to keep the magic alive during the most wonderful time of the year.

 

Thursford’s Enchanted Journey of light – When twilight falls the magic begins!

Head to Thursford this December for a magical experience. Wander through the new indoor Wonderland Trail: a maze of engines, fairy-tale characters and an immersive experience of light and sound. Including one of the UK’s biggest kinetic light displays.

Easton Farm Park’s magical Christmas Experience

Enjoy a two hour Christmas extravaganza, including arts and crafts with our jolly chief elf, cookie decorating with Mother Christmas, a meet and greet animal session, yummy Christmas treats and a visit to the Christmas toy store where children can choose a gift. Father Christmas will be making an extra special surprise appearance throughout the day!

Wonderful Walks

The parkland and gardens at Ickworth are open. They’ve introduced advance booking to keep everyone safe and maintain social distancing. To avoid disappointment please book in advance, especially at weekends, in school holidays and bank holidays. However, where space is available on weekdays, pre-booking may not always be necessary. Entry is free for members, however, non-members will need to pay.

Blackthorpe Barn – Santa’s grotto

To allow for unforgettable and precious memories to still be created, Blackthorpe Barn will be transporting Santa into a new virtual world, ‘Live’ from his wonderful and wintry grotto, with his elves not far away. Youngsters aged between two and nine years old will still be able to meet Father Christmas face-to-face and enjoy the same magical and inspiring experience, albeit virtually.

Ravenwood Hall – The Christmas Emporium

Set within Ravenwood Hall’s extensive gardens will be The Christmas Emporium – a fabulous, festive day out for the whole family. Reminiscent of German Christmas Markets, visitors can get into the seasonal spirit with a variety of stalls offering traditional festive fayre, from roasted chestnuts to mulled wine and unique gifts. The Christmas Emporium is the perfect place to support local businesses and find that something special for under the Christmas Tree, and even choose the perfect Christmas Tree for your home.

The Christmas Emporium will be open Saturdays & Sunday 11am-6pm: 5-6th December, 12th-13th December, and 19th-20th December.

So wrap up warm, enjoy the Festive Al Fresco delights at Ravenwood Hall.
