Turn2us Acting on Fuel Poverty Campaign

This winter, Turn2us is running its second annual Acting on Fuel Poverty campaign. This is to raise awareness of fuel poverty. And to show the support available for those struggling with their fuel costs.
There are currently an estimated 4.75 million households in fuel poverty in the UK. Around three-quarters of these households are on a low income*. Recent research commissioned by Turn2us** uncovered that people living in low income households are unaware of the potential support available to help with their fuel bills. And almost two-thirds (64%) are uncertain if they will meet these costs without experiencing financial hardship.
Turn2us has launched a dedicated campaign microsite which directs users to sources of help including:
The Turn2us Benefits Calculator. You can use this to work out which welfare benefits and tax credits you might get.
Claiming benefits entitlements can not only boost income. But can also act as a trigger for eligibility for various fuel poverty programmes
The Turn2us Grants Search database.
