Havebury can help with fuel costs

Havebury can help with fuel costs

We here at Havebury want to help you with your fuel costs. We have a range of information below which may help you.

Help cut your energy bills

My Home Energy Switch- an energy supply service from the National Housing Federation. The service is to help tenants reduce their energy bills. It is completely free and impartial and on average customers save £72.84 on their energy bills.

How does it work?
All you need to do is call 0800 0014 706 or go to their website with your postcode and a current energy bill. The My Home Energy Switch team will do the rest.

Download the leaflet or send an email and they will send you some information in the post.

Budgeting Loans

Do you have an income-based benefit? If yes, and you have been in receipt of this benefit for over 26 weeks, you should be able to get loans from Jobcentre Plus for urgent fuel bills.

These loans are interest-free and recovered through future benefit payments. These loans are a one-off that enables you to begin budgeting and saving for future payments.

They also limit your ability to get further budgeting loans if unforeseen expenses occur. You can print off these forms at GovUK or contact your local JobCentre Plus.
