Tenant Engagement

We want to include our tenants in everything that we do through tenant engagement

We want to ensure that the services we provide to our tenants are shaped by our tenants, so we know we’re making the best use of our time and money. As a result, we encourage everyone to get involved in what we do. Here are just some of the ways you can help us make Havebury even better for everyone.

We’ve launched a new Engagement Strategy this year and we’re working hard to make sure that our engagement offer fits in with you.

We’ll be looking at our current offer and making sure that it works for you, for how you want to be involved with us, and how much time you have to do that. As we progress we’ll add and update this page with our most up-to-date groups and ways of getting involved with us so keep an eye out for any changes!

Each of the groups listed below meets approximately once a month. All of our volunteers receive Love2Shop vouchers annually as a reward for their dedication and time. If you are over 18 and would like to get involved, call 0300 3300 900 or email residentinvolvement@havebury.com.


  • Tenants' Forum

    Our Tenants Forum has a huge involvement in what goes on within the organisation. The panel has spaces for up to 15 tenants who come from a wide range of backgrounds and from the different communities that we serve. They provide feedback to our contractors, on our policy changes as well as being a sounding board for tenants within their individual communities. The Forum, in turn, then feeds into our Operational Committee providing direct feedback from our tenants.

    The Forum meets one evening per month and is a great way for tenants to learn new skills and to play a real role in improving our services. If you would like to be involved, please contact residentinvolvement@havebury.com.

  • Performance and Scrutiny panel

    The Performance and Scrutiny panel provides us with an essential, independent view on our services and performance. The Panel is made up of tenants, as well as external members, who scrutinise internal processes working closely with members of staff. They carry out in-depth reviews on different services such as repairs or customer services and suggest ways of improvement to make things better for our tenants. These recommendations go straight to our Leadership Team as feedback on how we can make things better.

    The Panel meet on a monthly basis, as well as additional review meetings, and present their feedback to the business to help shape our services in the future. If you would like to be involved, please contact residentinvolvement@havebury.com.

  • The Place

    We want to make sure that even if you have limited time, you can still share your thoughts with us. The Place is your place to sign up to answer surveys via email whenever we send them out, take part in live polls and see the results from these polls and surveys. It helps to give us a really quick snapshot of how you’re feeling about a range of issues. We keep them short and sweet, and it’s up to you whether you answer them or not.   • Estate Monitors

    If we have grass areas, shrub beds and communal areas where you live, you can help us make sure we monitor the quality of work we do in these areas by becoming an Estate Monitor. You can give us feedback once a month on how well your area is being looked after – it all helps us manage our contract from a tenants’ point of view.
