Top 20 Best Not-for-Profit Organisations to Work For

Havebury was ranked 19th in the 2016 Sunday Times Best 100 Not for Profit Organisations To Work For. This was a formidable rise in the rankings after we finished 73rd in 2013 and 68th in 2014. We were ranked sixth amongst all small not-for-profit organisations.

Compiled from the views of our 200+ employees and our company policies, we were recognised for being an optimistic team. Meanwhile, 75 per cent of employees said that they have a positive future in the company.

Further feedback included:

  • 81 per cent of staff said they believed that Havebury has a strong social conscience
  • 78 per cent of staff viewed the training they received as beneficial

Other factors that led to Havebury’s top 20 place includes support from the management team, along with the generous employee reward and recognition packages.

Healthy Ambitions Suffolk

We are part of the Healthy Ambitions Suffolk (HAS) project, which aims to make Suffolk the healthiest county by 2028.

Launched in November 2008, it brings together the county’s leading public services alongside the private and independent sectors, community groups and individuals. The initiative aims to help everyone in the county enjoy longer, happier, healthier lives.

As part of Havebury’s role in this, we look after the wellbeing of our employees. In the HAS Better Health – Better Business Awards scheme, we were in receipt of a silver prize.

We are a Mindful Employer

Havebury is involved in the MINDFUL EMPLOYER initiative. This includes a charter called Employers Positive about Mental Health, which recognises organisations working towards better mental health in the workplace.

The project gives Havebury and other UK organisations access to information, practical support, training, networks and assistance around the topic of mental health. Find out more about MINDFUL EMPLOYER here.

The Housing Ombudsman Service published a new Complaints Handling Code in July 2020.

All landlords were required to self-assess and publish against this code by 31 December 2020. Our assessment of this is here https://www.havebury.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Self-assessment-form-HHP.pdf
