Havebury's Wellbeing Week Is A Step In The Right Direction
Suffolk-based Havebury Housing Partnership puts its best foot forward as part of a week-long initiative to inspire employees to think about their wellbeing.
The week, which consisted of a range of activities, including desk yoga, daily step challenges, Positive Thinking workshops and Boot Camp classes was designed to promote physical and mental health awareness to its workforce.
Marie McCleary, Director of Resources at Havebury, said:
“Our Wellbeing Champions created a variety of engaging events and resources to help encourage healthy living both at work and at home. As an organisation, we continually invest in our team, so it’s important that we inspire employees to look after their wellbeing, whether it’s simply changing eating habits or trying a new activity.”
As well as creating a brand new employee incentive focussed on tracking physical activity, Havebury also worked closely with Nick Smith Fitness and Slimming World Team Developer Kelly Cooper on fitness and healthy eating sessions.
Nick Smith, owner of Nick Smith Fitness, said: “It was an absolute pleasure to be involved with Havebury’s Wellbeing Week. I was impressed with the efforts of the team who took part in the Boot Camp sessions – they worked hard while retaining their sense of humour. Exercise should be fun and not feared, and the Havebury team certainly epitomised that.”
