Your safety as a tenant

We’re committed to protecting the health and safety of our tenants, through routine inspections, checks and initiatives.

At Havebury we take electrical safety seriously. We carry out electrical periodic inspections on all our properties. We want to ensure all tenants are safe. The inspection tests; the wiring, consumer unit, and the fittings.

The test should take a few hours. We ask that you make time to allow access to your property. So our electrical contractor to complete these important tests.

During the inspection, any issues found are put into a category. These will then be rectified in priority order either on the day or a separate appointment.

Faulty electrical systems and appliances are a common cause of fires in the home. Use appliances such as tumble dryers, washing machines, freezers etc. by the manufacturer’s instructions.

It is also important sockets are not overloaded and replace damaged cables and plugs.

What should you do if you have problems in your home?

Problems may include; overheating sockets, fuses popping, circuit breakers tripping or smells of burning or scorching.

Please should turn off the electricity supply to your home. Make a call to Havebury repairs on 0300 3300 900 immediately.
