Tenants’ Hardship Fund

Tenants’ Hardship Fund

We know it has been difficult for many this last year or so. We recognise this and want to help if you are in financial difficulty. Perhaps that means you are struggling to pay your rent and/or service charges or cover other day to day expenses.

There are several ways we can help and support you.

Our friendly and experienced Welfare and Benefits Team can help you review your income and expenditure and offer you some advice on ways to maximise your income. This could include an application for:

Hardship Fund – an annual fund that is within our support budget which can be used for individual cases to provide temporary relief from genuine hardship; it is not intended as a means of long-term support and there are specific criteria that need to be met.

We have an additional fund which was introduced as part of the COVID-19 pandemic by our Tenant Forum group as part of their annual grant application. These are small one-off grants of up to £250, to support people who have been impacted by the pandemic. We will only consider applications where there is no history of anti-social behaviour, or any other tenancy breach and this grant is one per year. It can include:

  • Support with fuel poverty
  • Food voucher for a supermarket
  • Support to move into one of our homes

The administration and issuing of the above funds will be at our discretion and on a case-by-case. Please get in touch if you think we can help.
