At Havebury we take electrical safety seriously and carry out electrical periodic inspections on all of our properties to ensure the safety of our tenants, the inspection tests the wiring, consumer unit, and the fittings.
The test normally takes a few hours and we ask that you make time to commit to allowing access for our electrical contractor to complete these important tests.
During the inspection, if any issues are found they will be categorised and then rectified in priority order either on the day or a separate appointment will be required.
Faulty electrical systems and appliances are a common cause of fires in the home. Be sure to use your appliances including tumble dryers, washing machines, freezers etc. in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Ensure sockets are not overloaded and replace damaged cables and plugs.
If you experience issues with the electrics in your home, such as overheating sockets, fuses popping, circuit breakers tripping or smells of burning or scorching you should turn off the electricity supply to your home to Havebury repairs on 0300 3300 900 immediately.
