We’ve committed to UNISON’s Anti-Racism Charter.

We are proud to be the first housing association to sign the Anti-Racism Charter.

We launched our new Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Strategy last year and are committed to being innovative in EDI. Our vision is to have a workforce that reflects the communities we serve, with diversity of thought on problem-solving and decision-making.

Our chief executive, Andrew Smith, said

“We are proud to be the first housing association to sign the Anti-Racism Charter. It is a strong fit with our core values and missions. The Charter includes championing a racially diverse workforce and providing training for our team. We look forward to promoting this over the next 12-months.”

UNISON Eastern regional organiser, Winston Dorsett, said:

“Havebury should be congratulated on becoming the first housing association to make this real commitment to equality. Anti-racist workplaces are better workplaces — this won’t just benefit Havebury staff but the association’s residents across the east of England.”
