Privacy and GDPR

Havebury treats the privacy of our customers and website users very seriously, and we take appropriate security measures to safeguard your privacy. Our Privacy Policy explains how we protect and manage the personal data you share with us and that we hold about you. This includes how we collect, process, protect and share that data.

We always collect and process personal data for a specific purpose. This is linked to a lawful basis and is limited to that purpose. We endeavour to maintain accurate data and, where the purpose is no longer relevant, data is deleted. In some cases, it is anonymised so that it cannot readily be linked to you.

Forms

When you want to make a request or tell us something through our website, you will be asked to complete a form. Your personal information will be used only to provide the service requested. We will also not ask for any more data than is necessary. On every form, we will tell you why the data is being collected and what it will be used for. It also mentions your rights, as defined by the General Data Protection Regulations.

We may share your personal data with, or obtain your data from, the following:

Your rights

You have rights under the Data Protection Act 2018, including includes the right to access your personal data at any time. This is so that you can verify the lawfulness of the processing and to ensure that it is accurate. Access to your data will be provided free of charge, except where the request is unfounded, excessive or repetitive.

We will respond within one month of your request being received. Where we need an extension, we will contact you within ten days to let you know and explain our reasons. We will respond within a further two months. In some rare cases we reserve the right not to respond, but we will always explain why.

You have the right to have incorrect or incomplete data rectified. If we have disclosed the personal data to others, we will inform them of the rectification unless this proves impossible or involves disproportionate effort.

You have the right to request erasure of your personal data or to object to processing. If we agree with you, we will comply. You have the right to refuse processing of your data for marketing purposes.
