Due to high demand, the average waiting time is approximately 12 months. However, this can vary depending on the circumstances.
The well-being of adults, children and pets in your garden is your responsibility. If you consider the fence to be dangerous, please report this to our Repairs team by calling 0300 3300 900 or emailing repairs@havebury.com
One of our technicians will inspect the fence and advise whether we can make temporary repairs. We will also offer to remove the fence, but please note that we still may not replace the fence within 12 months.
If the repairs are minor and we can fix your current fence, we will. If it can’t be salvaged, we’ll have to remove it and put up a new fence.
Public boundaries – we will put up a 6ft timber fence (see below).
Dividing boundaries – we will put up a 3ft chain link with a 6ft privacy panel (see below).
Unfortunately, if the dividing boundary is shared, we cannot enforce a homeowner to contribute.
If we jointly own the fence with a neighbour, we cannot repair or replace it without their permission.
Likewise, they cannot repair or replace it without ours.
Yes, our standard is the same for all residents.
Yes, although you will need to apply for permission. You can do this here.
No, we only maintain rear garden fences, unless the only garden that you have is to the front of your home.
