What we will do
We’re required by law to undertake an asbestos survey on all homes built before 2000.
These are carried out by our in-house surveyors and provide information on the location and condition of the asbestos. We will provide tenants with a copy of these results.
We will inspect communal areas every year, for example, our blocks of flats.
Reinspection surveys may need to be carried out in your home, and we will get in touch with you if this is the case.
If the survey identifies asbestos that is in a poor condition, we will arrange for it to be sealed or removed.
We may need to carry out a survey in your home prior to refurbishment works taking place. If this is the case, we will discuss and arrange this with you, if it’s required.
If your home was built after 1 January 2000, we don’t need to carry out a survey.
