Why it matters
In a typically used home, this is not likely to happen, and we won’t undertake testing or checks in a home which is occupied.
But there are things you can do to minimise the chances of this occurring.
What you can do
If you are away from your home for an extended time, such as a family holiday for two weeks or more, it is worth running all of your water outlets, taps and showers etc, for 1-2 minutes when you return.
Take care to ensure you minimise the spray with a cloth or sponge.
Doing this will clear the system of any stagnant water.
