Q&A with Lauren

We spoke to Lauren Hollands to find out more about her role within our Supported team.

Hi Lauren, tell us a bit more about your role.

I am the support service coordinator within the Supported team. Our team consists of welfare and benefit advisors, a tenancy sustainment officer, and a hoarding and well-being support advisor.

Our key focus is to provide support and advice to our tenants to sustain their tenancy and maximise their income.

We also work with partner agencies to ensure our tenants get the support they need, to live safely within their homes and sustain their tenancy.

What excites you most about your role?

It is a challenging but exciting role. I am passionate about the well-being of our tenants, and I always want to achieve the best possible support for them.

Tell us a little bit more about you?

My housing career began when I was 19. I had just left college and got a job as a customer advisor at a housing association. In the last 15 years, I have been lucky to work in various departments across Havebury. Being in a customer-facing role is what I enjoy the most.

I’m a busy mum of two to my cheeky but adorable children. We are always busy out and about making family memories with my husband. Not forgetting our dog, he thinks he’s more of a Doberman than a dachshund. Our favourite thing to do is a long dog walk and a picnic on a sunny day.

Over the past six months, the Supported team have:

  • processed 267 support fund applications
  • helped 1,869 tenants access benefits who weren’t getting them before
  • advised 196 tenants on things like: Council Tax reductions, food assistance and fuel support

Do you need extra support?
